ADRENITY MEDIA NETWORKS WINS 2009 TECHLAUNCH 6.0 COMPETITION

Adrenity Media Networks, Inc. proudly announces it was named the winner of TechConnect’s TechLaunch 6.0 competition for startup companies held on May 27, 2009 in Boise, ID. The judges named Adrenity Media Networks the winner of the “Entrepreneur Idol” category and awarded the company the first-place cash prize spnsored by the Idaho National Lab of $10,000.

“The outstanding panel of judges, which included venture capitalists, angel investors and entrepreneurs from the Northwest, provided valuable feedback and insight into our business,” said Dave Abajian, CEO of Adrenity Media Networks who presented the winning business plan to the panel. “Judging from the formidable competition we faced during this event the health of entrepreneurship in Idaho is strong“ remarked Abajian. In addition to the cash prize, the Meridian, ID company, founded in 2008, was also awarded a valuable office package at VengaWorks Venture Center in Meridian, ID.

Adrenity’s focus on its customers’ needs to save money and increase revenues sets it apart from the competition. “The value propositions we offer retailers is second to none in our industry” said Bryan Gray, COO of Adrenity Media Networks. “Our targeted advertising solutions for convenience stores, quick serve restaurants and other retailers are low cost and highly effective” he continued.

“We had a strong roster of companies competing in TechLaunch 6.0” said Rick Ritter, CEO and President of Idaho TechConnect. “The winner was selected based upon the viability of the business models and the quality of the presentations and Adrenity rose to the top.”

“The members of the panel felt Adrenity clearly had the strongest business plan” said Jefferson Jewell, one of the judges and co-founder of Blackfin Technology. “It was obvious that they understand their business and they are in a very interesting space.”

INNOVATIVE COMPANIES WIN AT TECHLAUNCH BUSINESS COMPETITION

The winners of this year’s TechLaunch business competition were announced on June 2: Meridian-based Adrenity Media Networks Inc., which uses high technology solutions to provide background music and advertising in retail stores; eco-friendly waste management firm Good Earth Bio-Solutions LLC, of Idaho Falls; and Ecowell of Pullman, Wash., which has designed a litter-free vending kiosk.

The contest, held at Idaho TechConnect’s TechLaunch 6.0 event May 27, put 13 startups in front of a panel of judges representing the “financing food chain,” according to a release from TechConnect.

Adrenity Media received the “Entrepreneurial Idaho” grand prize which included $10,000 sponsored by the Idaho National Laboratory and an office package at VengaWorks Venture Center in Meridian.

Good Earth Bio-Systems won the Perkins Coie $5,000 People’s Choice Award, and Ecowell received an award package valued at $5,000 for winning the “Next Gen” division, which brings in winners from university business plan competitions.

About 100 entrepreneurs, investors and those interested in starting a business attended the event, which was sponsored by Idaho TechConnect, Idaho National Laboratory, Perkins Coie, Idaho Economic Development Association, Idaho Department of Commerce, Rocky Mountain Power, Bannock Development Corp., Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization, Eastern Idaho Economic Development Partners, Regional Development Alliance, Grow Idaho Falls and VengaWorks Venture Center.
